Background

For the past six years I have been hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail. The development of this application has occurred over that time period. Detailed G.P.S. track data has been collected on over 1000 miles of the PCT to accurately locate the trail on the topographic maps. The application has been sent to U.S. Forest Service District Offices for review and detailed feedback has been provided from over a dozen Wilderness Trails Managers. In addition, GIS information provided by National Forests and the U.S.G.S has been used. The maps and information are updated yearly.
